Beautiful traditional recycled Cotton Chindi Rug/Carpet. Hand woven on traditional hand looms from Jaipur, India. This is a thin decorative rug like a throw. It is reversible and can be used from both sides. It is made by combining scraps of many different types of recycled sari fabric. Each one of them is unique yet make for a dazzling floor. This rug has a very smooth texture and is very comfortable to sit or lie on. This gorgeous work of textile art can be used as a floor covering, like a carpet or a rug, or as a wall hanging.
Each piece is unique and made by hand on a loom, using threads of knitted or woven cotton. This rug is very co-friendly with a very low carbon footprint.The colors listed in the drop-down menu are the PREDOMINANT colors but each rug will have all colors in them.
All the women weavers we work with get a fair wage for their labor. They source the fabric for free either repurposing used fabric or obtaining new scraps. Either way they keep the fabric out of landfills and creat a one of a kind decorative piece of useable art.
Usage:
-Hand Wash in cold water or machine wash in a sealed mesh bag. Hang dry.
